Our Story
Branches of Honor:
Veteran-Led Tree Care for the Community
Branches of Honor is my way of blending a lifetime of service with a hands-on mission to help others. As a retired combat veteran based in Woodbury, MN, I offer free tree pruning, removal, and brush clearing—simple jobs, done right, for anyone who needs it. Priority goes to those who can’t do it themselves or afford help, but no one’s turned away. With basic gear and self-taught skills, I stick to safe, manageable tasks—think 15 feet or lower, away from power lines or big risks. I’ve got experience assisting with larger tree jobs and own a farm up in St. Croix State Forest, surrounded by trees, so I know my way around a saw. Serving Woodbury and nearby towns like Oakdale, Maplewood, and Cottage Grove, I’m here to give back to the taxpayers who support my retirement. It’s not just about the work—it’s about staying connected, keeping busy, and lifting up the community that’s given me so much. Volunteers are welcome, too—whether you’re a young person exploring a trade, a veteran seeking camaraderie, or just someone who wants to get their hands dirty alongside me. This is my passion, not a job, and it keeps me grounded while I keep serving.
